Purpose

This position specifically supports the mission by:
Developing, coordinating, and directing Baylor Law School’s public relations and marketing activities in order to enhance and strengthen communications with Baylor Law School’s constituents and raise the profile of the Law School. The Director of Communications & Marketing (the “Director”) will work closely with the Dean, Associate Dean, and Baylor’s Public Relations Department, Law School Senior Graphic, Web & Marketing Designer and other law school directors. The Director is responsible for assisting with the production of high quality publications. The Director will also provide communications counsel to faculty and administrators. In addition, the Director will develop and implement new strategies as necessary to further the mission of Baylor Law School.

Required Education Bachelor's
Field of Study Degree in marketing, public relations, professional writing or journalism.
Required Experience 3 years of relevant work
Other Required Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Must be a self-starter; Must be one who can function without close supervision; Must possess the ability to work well with others; Collaborate on projects as both a team leader and a team member; Must be one who will constantly seek out on his/her own, new and improved ways to implement and coordinate Law School programs; Must possess initiative and creativity; Must have a highly developed work ethic; Must have superior organization skills; Ability to make presentations to groups of varying sizes; Typing and word processing skills; Desktop publishing skills; Ability to juggle multiple priorities; Strong working knowledge of Website and social media marketing; Excellent proofreading skills; Understanding of higher education topics
