The CAATE accredited athletic training program at Baylor University (http://www.baylor.edu/hhpr/athletictraining), invites applications for a full-time clinical faculty position. This newly established position would work with the existing faculty on the implementation of the new Master of Athletic Training (MAT) program. The successful applicant is expected to teach MAT classes, help recruit and mentor graduate students, and engage in programmatic evaluation.

Responsibilities

- Teach courses within the MAT Curriculum
- Mentor MAT student research projects required for degree completion
- Assist with administrative tasks associated with the MAT program and CAATE compliance

Required Qualifications

- A terminal degree (e.g., PhD, EdD, DAT) in a related discipline
*ABD considered; degree required by appointment
- Certification and good standing with the Board of Certification as an athletic trainer
- Licensed or eligibility for licensure as an athletic trainer in the State of Texas
- A philosophy that is compatible with the stated mission of the University to be a Tier 1 Christian, research university (http://www.baylor.edu/about/mission)

Preferred Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability to teach graduate students
- Previous full-time clinical practice as an athletic trainer
- Training in a contemporary treatment approach (e.g. PRI, FMS, ART)
- Familiarity and experience with the CAATE standards and accreditation process
- Previous research experience (e.g. publications, presentations)
- Previous involvement with and management of clinical education experiences

Rank and Salary Salary and rank are commensurate with professional experience and qualifications.
